About our classes
Our classes are taught by Native Instructors and packed with fun and useful tools to help you reach your language goals. From your very first class you will be speaking in the foreign language and our instructors will guide you every step of the way. We utilize the CEFR, a unique structure created by the Council of Europe that allows you to stay on a goal-oriented track. You will follow along using a book, however, our instructors have created numerous exercises that help make learning fun, relatable and personal. In addition to your class, we also offer FREE Online Language Workshops (featured in Time Out New York) that help immerse you into practicing your skills via Instagram LIVE. These 30-minute workshops include lessons like “Make Crêpes en Français,” “Dance Salsa en Español,” and “Drawing in Italiano.” We also have a vibrant Language and Culture Blog that is useful resource filled with articles that cover the following topics: Language Tips, Arts & Culture, Fashion, Food, and Music.

How long does it take to become fluent?
This is a common question we hear at JP Linguistics. While the answer may seem daunting at first, we know the truth is that it takes a lot of determination and dedication. In most cases this means years of preparation and learning. It also requires individual attention and practice. For those who are able to utilize their free time to study and practice, they will see results more quickly. It also helps to seek a private instructor who can work one-on-one to address issues along the way, which is something we offer to our students (visit our main page and select Private Lessons to learn more).
